Reflections

Friday, 27 November 2009
This week I've been reminded how much we are all reflections of each other.

American Thanksgiving is so identifiable to us all - a time for being with loved ones and family, cooking and having fun, renewing traditions for each generation.

On a personal level I have been overcome the last few days by the kindness of friends and the support of strangers and have been so aware of how we are all aspiring for very similar dreams and desires. How much we all want love, peace, safety and well being. At times feeling the intimacy of the energies has been too much and I've wanted to shout out - back off, let me have some space! But each day brings new awareness of how we are all working together in a way not really experienced before. No one is coming into our lives by accident. No story we hear is by chance. We are busy connecting a great web of energy - ready to change our World.

Expansion is Wonderful

Wednesday, 18 November 2009
Expansion is what we are all doing in every second of our day. It’s why we are here. Some call it ‘learning lessons’, some call it ‘my purpose’ or ‘my soul path’. It is the basis of Law of Attraction - seeing what you don’t want causes you to know what you do want - and in that moment, there is expansion. A new desire, a possibility of change, growth.

But we humans dance this dance of doing everything in our power to resist change, to resist expansion. We fight and kick and stamp our feet to hold on to the belief that maintaining the status quo is happiness, is correct, is serving ourselves and our communities.

We are taught from an early age that change is chaos, change makes you different, you will become something unrecognisable and threatening if you change. Your loved ones will lose you - because of course, they are being sensible and doing everything they can to resist change, resist growth. If you change and grow, you will be responsible for their unhappiness.

When you see it out loud, it seems absurd doesn’t it?

Expansion is as natural as breathing - in fact it is breathing. What do your lungs do when you breath in? They expand. Now that didn’t hurt, did it?

But why should we want to co-operate in this expansion stuff? Surely it’s easier to buy into the ‘reality’ that growth equals chaos?

Expansion is always into a better feeling place. When you reach for love, that’s expansion. When you feel excited by a new idea, that’s expansion. When you feel satisfaction at a job well done, that’s expansion. When your child gives you a hug and you smile, that’s expansion. When you plant spring bulbs in the wintertime in the anticipation of beauty in the spring, that’s expansion. When you help your neighbour, that’s expansion. When you sit down to a meal with all your family together, that’s expansion. When you learn something new, that’s expansion.

Whenever you feel better, feel good, feel happy, feel joy - that’s growth and expansion.

As simple as that. And the wonderful truth is that...the more you expand, the more you expand. The more you choose to expand and have these better feelings, the more experiences and people and situations will come to you which allow you to expand.

Joy, love, abundance, enthusiasm, hope aren’t dangerous or painful feelings. They are the natural basis of our expansion and growth. Anything else is resistance and resistance is painful and exhausting. Even one moment of Joy in your day will expand you beyond your wildest dreams.

And Joy can be found in the most unlikely places, just make the choice and allow it to steal over you. Let it lead you into expansion and growth and the life you truly want.

What is Life?

What is life?

It is the flash of a firefly in the night
It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime
It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset

Soar with Joy

Tuesday, 10 November 2009
A lot of clients recently have been saying “I’m tired of playing small” or “I’m not thinking big enough, am I?”

It’s as if we are all waking up to our own potential, to the potential of the lives we can lead, the differences we can make.

So what exactly will “playing and thinking big” feel like?

It feels expansive, joyful, scary sometimes. It feels supported and creative. It feels exciting and full of deep peace - both at the same time. It takes your breath away and yet you find yourself breathing deeply for perhaps the first time in your life. It has you laughing and crying at the simplicity and the love of it. You reach out fearlessly to others, you give all you have and receive all they have to give in exquisite thankfulness. Rather than searching for truth you find yourself living it.

Ideas and projects flow with ease, you effortlessly see solutions and new methods of doing things. You co-operate, you lead by example, you show your eagerness to listen and to learn. You experience the world around you with great clarity. You live moment to moment poised in the wonder of each one.

Boundaries dissolve, you cease to measure and weigh the love which comes to you since you are becoming love in action. Daily you stand on the heights and spread your wings to soar with joy.

You enable others, you hold a light, you make a difference, you act fearlessly, you exist in a flood of appreciation.

You are a vast still point of potential and love.

Healing in the Community

Saturday, 7 November 2009
I met with a friend yesterday who has just completed her Theta Healing training. She loved it and is now putting together a project to offer Reiki, Theta and other supportive and empowering modalities to homeless and at risk clients.

We were chatting about this and both began to explore the notion of what our societies would be like if as well as the wonderful work the carers, wardens, doctors, nurses etc do; every hospital, every prison, every elderly care home, every children's home, every drop-in centre had its own Theta healer, Reiki healer...

How transformed lives could become, how empowered everyone would become - because it works at such a deep level changing beliefs and behaviours.

Of course it's a dream most healers and servers of communities have and many are quietly working to bring this about. But the true change would be when all forms of healing and empowerment were recognised and brought into the 'mainstream'. When the culture of dependency, dis-empowerment and judgement is transformed into a heart-centered recognition of the path we are all on.

A week in the life of ...

It was an astonishing week for Emma and I at 7th Space. We had amazing clients which took us both into a much deeper level with our Soul Healing. We finished on Friday feeling we'd been stretched to our limits, but at the same time supported in our personal journeys.

One of the wonderful aspects is how this depth of healing doesn't so much have a 'them and us' aspect - the client and the practitioner who knows best. Rather each session is very equal with our clients totally involved in their own discoveries and healing. That also means that each consultation is totally unique!

On Saturday we hosted our Hallowe'en Workshop - a chance for everyone to become aware of the energies which support us all. We believe passionately in self-empowering our clients to understand, cleanse and activate their own energy systems - chakras, aura, learning how to ground and cleanse the energy of the spaces around them. Becoming familiar with the guides and angels which choose to work with us means that we can access the help and guidance they offer us so lovingly.

Writing this now, I can feel my anticipation of the coming week growing - roll on tomorrow morning :))
