
But it wasn’t just houses which were spring cleaned. It was considered just as important to freshen the body. My father used to remember with a shudder the tormentil and chamomille herb tonic his mother made him drink every Spring! And fresh salads of bitter herbs to jolt sluggish systems into life are still eaten at this time across the Mediterranean.
In Winter in Britain we tend to huddle - rushing from house to car to office or shop, bundled up in coats, breathing in stale centrally-heated air and generally cutting ourselves off from the elements. (Unless you have a dog, of course, and then you’re dragged out in all weathers!)
So Spring is a great time to re-energise our energy system. Over the next couple of blogs, I’ll give you a few techniques for setting your chakras spinning joyfully and filling your aura with sparkling light.
